DemocracyAction, in conjunction with Organizing for America and the Wellstone Democratic Club, urge all voters to support President Barack Obama's efforts to reform health care in this country.  President Obama has spoken to Congress, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats, and Majority Leader Harry Reid in the Senate, are working on bills that will extend health coverage to many uninsured Americans, as well as reform some of the worst abuses of the care-for-profit health insurance system in the U.S.

It is very important that concerned voters and supporters of health care reform contact our national representatives and show support for Obama's healthcare plan, including the following things:

* Providing quality, affordable health care for all Americans
* Lowering health care costs by reducing paperwork and excess overhead
* Allowing patients to use their own doctor and choose their own coverage from a range of options, including a public plan
* Ensuring that individual state's have the right to create a statewide single-payer system, even if this option is not provided on the Federal level

For voters and supporters in the San Francisco Bay Area, please contact the following people:

* Senator Diane Feinstein, (415) 393-0707
* Senator Barbara Boxer, (916) 448-2787
* Speaker Nancy Pelosi, (415) 556-4862

For a complete list of Senators and their contact information, see the U.S. Senate website.  For a complete list of House Representatives and their contact information, see U.S. House of Representatives website.
